Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH seeks an experienced cultural leader to be the next Howard L. Gilman ’44 Director of the Hopkins Center for the Arts. This is an exciting opportunity to guide a respected Ivy League institution into a new era. The Hop’s new director will be an intelligent thinker on cultural matters, with a national perspective and a compelling vision for how the Hop can best contribute to creative life on campus in the 21st century. The successful candidate will support Dartmouth’s efforts to define creativity more broadly and lead the Ivy League in experiential learning, and will work to raise the profile of the Hop nationally; forge important new partnerships with funders, faculty and leading thinkers around important cultural issues; focus industry attention on Dartmouth as a leading presenter and influential thought leader within the university presenting field; and create new and innovative opportunities for Dartmouth students to grow through expressive practice and teaching across multiple artistic disciplines.
