Director of Development, The New York Pops

The The New York Pops, the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States, seeks an ambitious, passionate and knowledgeable fundraising leader as its next Director of Development. The “Pops” plays to consistently sold-out houses of loyal fans and combines strong contributed and earned incomes with a compelling mission and programming. The orchestra has exciting long-range plans and projects that are expected to increase the annual operating budget from $1.6M to approximately $2.5M over the next 3-5 years. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, energetic, and experienced development leader able to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy and have a successful track record of competing for philanthropic support. S/he will have substantial major gifts, corporate sponsorship and special events experience, and will collaborate with senior management and a committed Board to maximize fundraising results. Dunch Arts has filled its 2015 Management Fellowship opportunities. The Dunch Arts Management Fellowship is a competitively awarded, full-time, one-year salaried Fellowship for recent Masters Degree graduates pursuing careers as professional arts administrators. We seek talented, ambitious emerging arts leaders who are keen to put their strong academic training into practice in a fast-paced professional environment. Fellows will work across a broad range of projects in different artistic disciplines while being mentored by experienced Dunch Arts colleagues. This is an ideal opportunity for an energetic, flexible, self-starter who is eager to build her/his professional arts management skills in a stimulating work environment.
